Week Rundown! (08/22/10 - 08/28/10)

Sunday:

Ahh... the first Sunday with two vehicles! I was able to drive the car to church and then do the van route! No more picking up the van on Saturday nights!

The day went well. I had wanted to take a nap this afternoon, but didn't get the chance. We worked on bills and grocery list instead!

After evening services, we had Birthday/Anniversary fellowship, and then off to the store to get groceries. By the time we got home, we were all tired!

Monday:

I guess this is a week of firsts! Today was Lydia's first day of college classes for the fall semester. Although she was ready for it, she wasn't really looking forward to it. The past several weeks of no classes went by too fast!

Again, since we now have two vehicles, getting to work and things can now change. Lydia went to the gym early while I got the kids ready. I then dropped them off at daycare and met Lydia at the gym. After our workout, we both left in our separate vehicles, me to work and Lydia to school.

After her classes, Lydia went to work. She worked for several hours, and then grabbed the kids before heading home. I came home after work, and we ate supper. The kids played and watched tv, and I left for quartet practice.

When I arrived home, the kids were asleep and Lydia going over some of her homework.

Tuesday:

We woke up and started a new schedule.. Today was Mysia's first day of kindergarten! I went to the gym early, Lydia dropped Malachi off at daycare, then her and Mysia joined me at the gym. Mysia watched a movie on the iPod while we worked out. Afterwards, Lydia left for work in the van and Mysia and I headed for her school.

When we arrived, I parked and we walked to the entrance. There was a group of kids and parents waiting. The doors didn't open until 8:05, so we stood around for a bit. I was more nervous than she was. Finally they unlocked the doors, and parents and kids filed through to the cafeteria.

I went along with Mysia, helping her grab her tray, pick out food, and then watch as she went to the register. They asked her for her name, and when she told them, they told her a 7-digit number and told her that she'd have to memorize it. That surprised me.. I have trouble with 4-digits!

Mysia then got seated, we said our goodbyes to each other, and I headed out for work. For the rest of the day, I wondered how she was handling it, and hoped all was going well.

Lydia had it interesting too... One of her classes, had a typo in the schedule. It was actually later than she thought. That made her late picking up Mysia from school! Unfortunately, the school told her that she can't be late, or we'd have to pay for the after school services. Whoops!

When Lydia and Mysia got home, Mysia ate and crashed on the couch. She was tired. Lydia got online and was able to switch classes around and get one that is earlier in the afternoon, so that she can pick up Mysia on time.

I picked up Malachi after work, and when we got home, Lydia was doing homework and Mysia was still asleep. After supper was made and set out, Mysia finally began to tell us about her day. She was excited and told of an eventful day.

Wednesday:

A busy day....

I dropped Malachi off at daycare and met Lydia and Mysia at the gym for our workout. Lydia left for college, and I dropped Mysia off at school. She didn't want me to walk her in, so I didn't. I was a little saddened by this, but also happy that she was strong enough to want to go to school on her own.

After her classes and work, Lydia picked up Mysia from school and headed home to work on homework. I picked up Malachi on my way home from work. We ate a quick supper and headed off to church.

Today was the beginning of Master Clubs for the kids at church. Lydia and I are teachers for the primary kids, so it was the start for us as well. Since it was the first of the school year for the club, it was "Fun Night", where we do fun activities, one big lesson together, and a special treat. No book time...! Although it's fun, it also wears us teachers out! lol

Before heading home, the quartet practiced in the old auditorium. We ran over the list of songs we're going to be singing on Saturday.

Thursday:

Well, the new schedule seems to be going pretty good. School, work..... oh what fun!

In the evening, we had pizza bagels and watched some home videos. Lydia had a lot of homework to get accomplished. Both kids were wore out by bedtime. Me... I fell asleep on the couch! lol!

Friday:

Ha! What a day!

Since Lydia works for a pet shop, they sometimes have animals in the office. For the last week or so they've had a parrot, named Kiwi, in the office because he needed a change of scenery and a calmer environment. Thursday and today he started walking around the office, and today he walked up to Lydia and tried to climb on her foot. So, she reached down and picked him up... to her, it was really exciting! A bit later, he climbed up on her shoulder. Unfortunately, he's very clumsy, lost his balance, and grabbed for the nearest thing to him.. which was her ear! Lydia freaked and brought her hand up near him and he latched on to that!

Needless to say, it was an event to remember! Neither bite was real bad, but they broke the skin. So after work, she picked up Mysia from school and headed to the doctor (work comp purposes)! They gave her a shot, and bandaged her ear!

After I got off from work, we headed out to Nixa for the going-away party for Lydia's cousin Butch and family. They are leaving next week for Australia as missionaries. There were hamburgers, hotdogs, steak, noodle salad, potato salad, chips... and cake! The kids played outside for most of the time. We visited for a good while, and didn't get home until after 9:30.

Saturday:

We slept in! And oh... it felt good! It had been a long week.

After eating breakfast, I headed out to Ben Winter's house, he helped me replace the fuel filter in my car! Thanks Ben!!!

While I was gone, Lydia had the kids help with sorting out the clean laundry. When I got home, I got a shower and did some things around the house. Lydia came up with a menu for the week, and got the grocery list going. After feeding the kids lunch, and putting them down for naps, I headed out to Wal-mart.

The grocery run was fast, and I got home in time for us to rush and get ready to head out to Crane, MO. The quartet was scheduled to sing at the Broiler Festival, in the Gospel Tent at 6:30. On the way there, we let the kids watch a movie on the dvd player that is in the new van. They really enjoyed that! I drove, and Lydia read one of her text books.

Steppin' Out had a blast! We had planned to sing eleven songs, but found out we had more time, so we added two more at the end. Fortunately, there were no mess ups, besides Sam trying to find the right key for one of the last songs, but that only added to the fun!

After singing, we walked around for a bit before heading home. It had been a long day!

Tomatoes (08/26/10)

MMMMMmmmmmm.... yup! Tomatoes!

I like tomatoes! Red, juicy, acidic....

Okay, perhaps my "like" can go too far. But thanks to my grandma, and her wonderful garden, we've been blessed the past several weeks with bags of wonderful, homegrown tomatoes!

The kids love them, and so do I. They've made sandwiches great again, and of course, we like eating them plain. I take the tomatoes, cut them up in to small eatable bites, put them in bowls, add salt, and give them out! Boy, they're so good!

They make the ones from the grocery store taste so bland! Homegrown tomatoes are another proof of why I like this time of year!

Locker-room Conversation (8/26/10)

While at the gym today, getting ready to head out to drop Mysia off at school and then head into work, I overheard a conversation between three men. They were talking about the value of work over pleasure, and how they wished that they had applied themselves to work more during their youth.

One was mentioning how his older brother would work hard during the summer, but he himself would slack off. He had several lawn jobs, but not as much as he could have if he had really tried. He added that he was dumb... His dad paid for the mower, the gas, and the repairs! He had it made!

The second guy quipped, "Wow, sounds like Obama-care!"

Without missing a beat, the third quickly replied, "Nope... There was work involved...."

Week Rundown! (08/15/10 - 08/21/10)

Sunday:

Church was great... like always. However, on the way home with the church van, one of the tires lost it's tread! Talk about an experience. I wasn't too far from the church, so I was able to turn around and slowly make my way back.

Monday:

The weather was hot! When I got home, I hurried and mowed the lawn. I was sweating so much, I decided to put off the weed-eating until later in the week!

We ate dinner, and then I headed out for quartet practice. Lydia got the kids ready for bed.

Tuesday:

A fairly normal day. In the evening, we ate supper around the tv! Then it was a bit of play-time before showers and bed. :P

Wednesday:

Lydia's birthday and day off. After dropping the kids and me off, she ran errands. She came and had lunch with me, which was nice. Afterwards, checked out one of the mini-vans we looked at last Thursday. It has sparked our interest. Lydia got to test drive it, and the salesman allowed her to have it for the evening! So we got to take the nice mini-van to church!

Thursday:

Well, after a night of prayer and a look at the finances to see if things would work out, Lydia took the van back to the dealership and talked to the guy. She also talked to the bank. After doing some running around, she picked me up at lunch-time and we signed the bank papers for a loan, and then went and signed for the van!

Yes.. we now have a new vehicle! 2005 Dodge Caravan.

Friday:

We got up, got ready, and took the van back to the dealership to get a ding in the windshield fixed. We then headed to Mysia's school! It was "meet the teacher". So we got to check out where her class was, meet the teacher, and find out what was going happen when Mysia starts kindergarten next week. It was exciting!

We left the school, dropped the kids off at daycare, and then headed into work.

After work and picking up the kids, we picked up the van. Lydia then took Mysia to Walmart while Malachi and I went home to grill steak! At Walmart, Mysia got her ears pierced! She was excited, but it did hurt. She's proud of them though!

Back at home, we ate supper, and then Lydia did some pickup around the house while I went out and took care of those weeds! I was drenched with sweat when finished, so I grabbed Malachi and we got our showers over with!

Lycia came over so that she could do the girls nails. BJ, Ana, and Elijah also came over! Of course, BJ and Elijah didn't come over for the manicures... we let the boys play in the bedroom while we talked. Abigail soon showed up, and Mysia was excited.

We had a good visit, and the girls got their all "prettied" up. lol!

After they left, we got ready for bed. Malachi was wore out.

Saturday:

And so started the super busy day!

We woke up at a good time, and I started breakfast while Lydia got ready. I made blueberry pancakes! They were good!

We left for the park. We were to meet my family at Jordan Valley Park for photos. Things went pretty well, and we got some good shots. Unfortunately, Malachi was once again a pain, and didn't want to participate. And he had woke up in a great mood too! Several of the shots were taken in the shade, and then we moved to the water and let the play in it for a while.

When the photos were finished, we picked up our friend Mary and stopped by the store to grab some needed things. Then it was home and preparation for the BBQ in celebration of Lydia's birthday!

I had invited friends and family over for hamburgers and hotdogs at noon. It was a bit hot, but that wasn't the problem. Flies were horrible. I guess since we haven't had rain, they were ready to attack in large numbers! To add to that problem, I ran out of propane halfway through the grilling of the hamburgers... so I had to retreat to the air-conditioning to finish! lol. The food turned out good, and every visited outside for a bit before we all made our way inside for ice cream and cake.

Everyone left by three, which gave us time to clean up before heading out to Republic at 6 for our Master Club's fellowship. It was for all the teachers and helpers of the Wednesday night children's ministry. We had a good time eating and visiting. We played a few games, and talked about what's planned for the year for the "club".

Oh yeah... the drive gave the kids opportunity to enjoy the DVD player in the van!

"Stalking" Facebook Friends via the iPhone

Wow...! What news I get to share today!

As many of you may know, smart phones can be used to stalk people. Either in a good way or bad. I'm not advocating the idea, but it's a fact.

Well, there is an app for the iPhone that was released today that allows you to "stalk" your facebook friends by alerting you when they come online. Called "Friend Alert", it basically gives you the ability to track the person's online activity by notifications.

It's an interesting concept/idea. And it really doesn't invade anyone's privacy. If you don't want to be tracked by this application, just make sure you're invisible (under settings) when you go online! But remember, that means friends can't see that you're online to chat...

Thanks to my iPhone, and the chat client Meebo, I'm always on facebook chat. So if someone wants to use this application to "stalk" my online facebook activity.... good luck!

Week Rundown! (08/8/10 - 08/14/10)

Sunday:

It was a special day at church. Anniversary Sunday! We had the Dartts as our special guests! The morning service was great. They sang a few songs, and pastor brought a great message. We then had a wonderful fellowship dinner/lunch. There was plenty of food! At 2pm, we had an afternoon service that featured the Dartts! They really did an outstanding job ministering to us with their music.

After church, we headed home and took naps. Since there was no evening service, we weren't in too much of hurry to get out to Walmart for our planned grocery shopping. But, we eventually did.

Malachi and I did the grocery run, while Lydia took Mysia to grab school clothes and supplies. Malachi and I got done before the girls did, so we played with my phone outside the changing rooms while Mysia tried on the different outfits they had chosen.

Monday:

I mowed the lawn, which needed it. We didn't do anything real special this evening. We just hung around the house, watched some TV, and played with the kids.

Tuesday:

Today was nice, but busy. After getting home, Lydia immediately left for her sister's apartment. They had girls night/evening together with Jordin. They ate pizza, talked, and watched a movie!

I stayed home with the kids. We ate, watched Emperor's New Groove, and played before I put them to bed. I didn't stay up either, and was asleep when Lydia got back home.

Wednesday:

A special day for Mysia! She got to spend it with Lydia. They went out on the town! First stop... a haircut! Yup, Mysia got her hair cut off at the shoulders.

They then had lunch with Aunt Lycia and Jordin, and then went shopping. They both had a good time.

We had church that evening, and I stayed later to practice with the quartet. Lydia and the kids went over to my parents' house to enjoy the pool. I joined them after practice for a late night swim.

Thursday:

Today was my day off work. I had two vacation days left to take, and so I took them!

We slept in a bit, then took the kids to daycare before heading out to the gym. We decided to do a good work-out since we weren't pressed for time.

Afterwards, we visited several car-lots to see what vehicles were available, and to get an idea of how much they were running in price. We have some ideas, but not in a rush to get anything yet. However, the thought of getting a second vehicle is there!

We picked up a few things at Walmart, then grabbed a movie from RedBox, and headed home for lunch. After the movie and stuffing our face with some crackers and dip, we headed out to one of the pools near us. We had never been to this one, and wanted to try it out. It was more kid friendly then we expected, and wished we had brought the kids, but we had already paid.

We swam and relaxed in the coolness of of the water. It was hot outside, so it felt sooooooo good!

In the evening, Lydia went to give plasma and my dad came over to install some vertical blinds we had bought.

Friday:

It was another day off of work for me! We got up, took the kids to daycare, went to the gym, and then I dropped Lydia off at work.

I didn't know exactly what to do for the day to myself, but I did have a few things that needed done. One was getting the car looked at again. So I took it to the shop, howbeit, a different one. They looked at it and told me that one of the problems could be that something on the engine is off balance, and it would take forever to correctly find the culprit. However, they said to go buy some fuel-injector and put it in, and see if that may help.

$12 later... driving down the road... nothing happened! It seems that it worked!

Back at home, sat at my laptop and worked on some design projects for most of the early afternoon. After lunch, I did a few things around the house before heading to pick up the kids from daycare. We then picked up Lydia from work and headed over to my parents' house.

Once again, we took advantage of them having a pool! Lydia attended Jordin's Bridal Shower and that left me and the kids with the whole evening bugging "Granny" & "Grand-dad"! We swam for a good long time, and got plenty of sun! M&M were wore out, and watching a movie when Lydia came back to take us home.

Saturday:

For the most part, it was staying at home! Lydia and I focused on organizing our bedroom while the kids played and watched TV. Both seemed happy to be at home, and Lydia was happy to finally attend to the bedroom. Me.... well, I wanted to stay in bed! lol!

At 6, we met Lydia's siblings and mom for a game of put-put! Although it was a bit hot, we made it through, and had fun. We then headed home and had cake and ice cream!

Keeping busy... (Aug. 15, 2010)

Okay. Well... I haven't been too faithful on writing posts for this
blog lately. And no, I haven't forgot!

Life has been a bit busy, and I've put my focus on other things. I
hope to get back into posting more often, but we'll see!

I've got thoughts and ideas that I'm working on. They will be my
opinions on certain topics, like news and technology. I just want to
be certain everything is thoughtfully put and well worded.

Week Rundown! (08/01/10 - 08/07/10)

Sunday:

A typical busy day! Nothing new or different to report on, besides the fact that it was hot!

Monday:

It was back to work for me!! Lydia didn't have to be at her work until the afternoon. After she got off, she picked the kids up, then me, and then we headed home. Lycia came over to watch the kids while Lydia and I had the evening together. The kids ate pizza for supper and were excited to spend time with Jordin!

Lydia and I enjoyed cashew chicken for supper, while she had a meeting with a couple of ladies in her Honor's society. The food was great... I'm a huge fan of cashew chicken! The meeting lasted about an hour or more, and they got to discuss plans on things coming up. I just sat there, listening, eating, and playing with facebook on my phone! lol!

We then headed to the Ozark Empire Fair! I had acquired tickets to the southern gospel concert that was being held tonight. The weather was hot, but we had good seats. It was a good thing they passed out fans, we put them to use. Ernie Haase and Signature Sound were the group performing. I have most of their music, and knew most (if not all) of the songs they sang during their program.

During the last part of the concert, a lady slipped and fell... knocking her head on the metal floor. I was one of the first to rush to her aid. She got a good gash on the back of her head, and there was a pool of blood on the metal floor of the stands.. Lydia, me, and several others kept her awake and talking as security came. They then summoned for a paramedic, and finally an ambulance. I missed the closing songs of the concert, but our attention was devoted to the lady. She was alright, but they took her in a ambulance to be certain. It was quite an experience!

After the concert had ended, we walked the midway and grabbed some Pineapple Whip before heading home! Yum, yum!

Tuesday:

It was a pretty normal day. The heat was a killer! The lawn needed mowed though. It had been a week and a half since I last went at it, and boy, it needed it. I heard that we might get rain, and I knew if it got much longer, it'd take me forever to mow it! I definitely did not want to spend more time out in the hot sun then necessary!

The grass was long enough! It took me longer than usual, and I was soaked.. with sweat! Yuck! It was like I dunked myself in a pool! But it sure didn't feel like it. I really wanted to do just that though. It would have felt nice!

I was able to come in, change, cool down and eat supper before heading out. Tonight, was quartet practice. It turned out good, and we got several songs down. Before heading home, I got some more cucumbers from my grandma!

Wednesday:

Lydia had the day off. She did some errands around town, and even took car to shop. They're now saying that we need breaks! By the way, the car is still shuttering when we turn on the air-conditioning! They still can't figure it out! We're gonna have to take it somewhere else!

Lydia took Mysia to Daisies and then picked Malachi and I up.. when we returned home, both kids claimed they feeling to good. We believe it was probably due to the hot weather. Lydia wasn't feeling the best either, so we stayed home from church and enjoyed the air conditioning. We watched home-videos before putting the kids to bed. Lydia and I didn't stay up long either.

Thursday:

After work, we went to a car dealership and looked at a vehicle. We're not really wanting to buy one just yet, but this one sparked Lydia's interest! It was nice, but not what we're looking for!

Oh, we found out that it's not much fun or a very good idea to drag a 2 and 5 year-old to a car dealership!

Friday:

The weather finally cooled down a bit! It didn't go over 98 degrees!!! It turned out to be a good day to take the kids to the fair! Lydia and I don't trust the rides, so we walked the fair. The kids got to see cows, bunnies, pigs, horses, chickens, mules, donkeys, goats, and more! They even got to milk a fake cow! We also looked at the crafts and go through the vendor booths. We didn't stay too long, both kids were getting tired. So we left the gates at 9, after watching a brass band/troop play some songs.

The kids crashed when we got home.

Saturday:

No sleeping in today! I got up and got the kids ready and left the house at 8! We had picked up some tickets for a free showing of VeggieTales: Sweet-Pea Beauty. It was just me and the two kids. Thankfully, there wasn't much of a line when we got there, and we was able to grab some great seats. Malachi was a little disappointed, as he commented, "it's a princess movie..." However, Mysia liked it!

While we were gone, Lydia got the house ready. She had a bunch of ladies over at 10 for a Spa Party. They did facials, and stuff. You know, all that "girls" stuff... She had a good time, and it lasted for several hours.

In the meantime, our movie was finished by 10, right when Lydia's party was starting! So I called my mom and invited ourselves over to their house! The idea was to take advantage of their pool. However, it was a while before we got in. We visited for a bit first!

The water was cool, and felt so good! We was able to jump in around 11:30. The kids and I played and played. They showed me all the tricks they can do in the water. Mysia can now swim from one side of the pool to the other, underwater, and holding her breath! Malachi, with his water-wings, can swim like a tadpole!

Even though she was hesitant at first, I was able to convince Mysia to allow me to throw her up in the air and into the pool. I eventually taught her how to cannonball. Unfortunately, she still doesn't quite get the concept of holding her legs tightly, and has sprawled out on several occasions with a SMACK that makes your body cringe when you hear it. But go figure... she's fine when she comes up for air, asking to do it again!?!!

Since my mom dropped Abigail off at to work at the fair, she ended up driving by and picking Lydia up and brought her. So we got to swim together fora good while. In fact, we didn't head home until around 7ish!

My parent's came over as well, and we cooked pizza and put the kids to bed. We then popped in "The Diary of A Wimpy Kid". I wasn't too sure on how good the movie was going to be, but was pleasantly surprised! A funny comedy! Now I'll have to find the time and read the book!

Those iPhone Photos...

I like taking pictures. It's nice to be able to chronicle all that goes on in our lives with a camera. And digital cameras make it all the better. I can take as many as I want, dlelete the ones I don't like, and save them to disk. I don't have to worry about film, and paying to have all my pictures developed.

When we bought our iPhones back in February, I was pleased to find a decent camera as part of the product. Not only that, but the fact that it was easy to use, and could take multiple shots in a rapid succession!

Well, we bought the phones 6 months ago, and tonight, I'm doing my weekly backup of my iPhone to my laptop. I don't want to loose files, and I just noticed that my picture folder on my iPhone has a ton of photos... and I'm not joking!

So far, I've taken 1,719 photos!!!!

That's around 280 photos a month! Around 63 photos a week. Or, 9 photos a day!

Wow!

I guess I'm photo happy!

Week Rundown! (07/25/10 - 07/31/10)

Sunday:

Hmmm.... 5 more months! LOL!

I woke up and got ready early, but I didn't have the church van. The van had a blow-out on Friday when coming back from teen camp. Doug picked me up early for Men's Prayer Breakfast at 7:30. Afterwards, I drove one of the other vans for my van route.

Lydia picked up Mary, since Doug had picked me up. Sunday School and Morning Services were great. That afternoon, I ate and took a nap while the kids did. Lydia stayed up studying. She has tests and finals this week, it being the last week for her summer semester of college. After our naps, we watched the Jungle Book before heading back to church. For me and the kids, it was a nice restful afternoon.

The evening services were special. It was Teen Camp night, and the teens performed their talents, as well as gave a quick testimony on what had happened while there. I got it on video.

We returned home, put the kids to bed, and I actually fell asleep while Lydia studied!

Monday:

Besides the normal, back to work, daycare and school.... The day went by fast. Lydia had several tests.

In the evening, we ate supper, watched tv, let the kids play. Oh, and Lydia worked on homework!

Tuesday:

We had a great supper, and I got Malachi ready for bed before heading out to quartet practice. It had been several weeks since we had practiced, so it was good to get back into it!

After quartet practice, I got some more cucumbers from my grandma and I got to visit with her for several minutes before heading home. Poor Lydia was still studying away when I walked in the door. Again, she stayed up late.

Wednesday:

Lydia took Mysia to Daisy Scouts today... one of the highlights of the week for Mysia. Afterwards, they picked me and Malachi up. We rushed home and ate real quick. Lydia stayed home as the kids and I went to church. I was asked to run the media, and it was also business meeting night, so it made for an interesting service. When we got back home, we got the kids to bed. We didn't get to bed until late, Lydia worked on homework after I already dozed off on the couch!

Thursday:

Lydia's last day of summer classes for college! She had two finals, and was stressed out! But she pulled through. She was wore out during the evening, and we ended up getting the kids to bed at a good decent time.

Before heading off to bed, we watched a movie I had gotten from the library, "the Burbs". Lydia had never seen it, and I had seen it several times on cable when a teenager. Lydia was happy that there was no more homework!

Friday:

Lydia had a full day at work, so she got off at 5, picked up the kids, then picked up me. I had already started walking home and was halfway there when she picked me up.

We had Doug & Mary over for supper, and I grilled some hamburgers. It was hot outside, so we ate and played games inside. After supper, we let M&M have some fun with the finger-paints. Oh! What a mess! But they were well-behaved, and did a good job on their artwork.

We put in a movie, but were were all too tired to finish it, since it was getting late. Doug & Mary said their goodbyes, and after they left, Lydia and I went to bed.

Saturday:

Our bodies wanted to sleep in, but we fought the idea and we woke up earlier than usual for a Saturday. We hurried around, got ready, and left for Silver Dollar City! Surprisingly, we arrived right at opening time, 9:30! It's hard to make it places on time!

We were able to make it to all the kid-rides before it got super hot, and before the crowds got too big! The lines were pretty moderate at the beginning. Also, Malachi is tall enough to ride the bigger rides with an adult! So that made it fun! We had originally planned to leave around noon, but ended up heading back to Springfield around 3!

The kids got a little bit of a nap in the car after leaving SDC. When we got back to Springfield, we did some grocery shopping at Sam's Club. The kids loved eating the samples.

Back at home, we popped in a movie we picked up from RedBox, "The Tooth-fairy", and ate pizza rolls! Yum!

Since the day had been busy, and they got a short nap, we put the kids to bed at a decent time! Lydia gave me a haircut before we went to bed as well.
