Week Rundown! (07/08/12 - 07/14/12)

Sunday:

This morning was pretty much the same as most other Sundays. During the afternoon, we took naps. We rushed back to church for a wedding shower, then enjoyed services as a missionary preached the message and shared a video.

Monday:

This evening went well. The kids played nicely with each other while supper was being prepared; it was a new recipe Lydia found off of Pinterest. We enjoyed a late supper, and watched a few episodes of the Dick Van Dyke Show before going to bed.

Tuesday:

After work, we came home and ate real quick before heading out to help with Vacation Bible School decorations. I was in charge of painting a 3 foot long, paper-mache grasshopper. By the time we got home, the kids were tired and ready for bed.

Wednesday:
The day was busy for Lydia and I at our places of employment. It's not a bad thing, just wears you out a bit! ha!

Once we got home, we made quick supper and then headed for church. Services were good, and we got to see the neat decorations that were put up in preparation for VBS in a few weeks.

Thursday:

Mysia got to go to "Jump Mania" as the activity for the Boy's & Girl's Club. She came back with a report of how much fun she had.

I had stayed home from work as a vacation day and got some projects done. I also took my car into the shop and got my air conditioning fixed. Yay!

For supper, we had chicken-veggie bars, and enjoyed a peaceful evening at home.

Friday:

I took the day off from work and kept the kids home with me. We played, did some housework and watched a movie before lunch. Lydia came home and we all took naps. We got ready to go to the pool, but it started raining. I let the kids play in the rain and then in the sprinkler once the rain had stopped. We had hamburgers for supper and Abigail came over and visited us for a bit.

Saturday:

We got up and ate breakfast while watching some cartoons. I had planned to mow the lawn before breakfast, but it was thundering. I ended up mowing before lunch instead.

After lunch, we dropped the kids off with Abigail and we headed to Branson for a date. We had the privilege of seeing "Joseph" at the Sight & Sound Theater. The show was great, and we really liked their adaptation of the story. We enjoyed dinner together before picking the kids up for home.
