Let's take a recent news
article<http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1290518/Mothers-fury-Google-shows-3-year-old-son-naked-garden.html>into
discussion! A woman in Britain is upset that Google posted posted
pictures of her naked three year old son on Street View. She claims that
Google invaded her son's privacy!
One thing... if I was walk outside in the front yard naked, it would be
considered public indecency. I agree that a front yard is private property,
but it is not private from view. If one wants privacy... build a privacy
fence or stay inside!
Second... she claims to be concerned about pedophiles viewing her naked son.
Hey, what about her neighbors and those cruising down her street! If she's
so concerned, why allow her son to be nude outside?
Thirdly... to be sure of privacy of her kid, she did the right thing by
calling the press and giving her full name and town. Yeah, that's real
smart!
I personally don't think Google is in the wrong. They were on a public
street, taking pictures for their service. Anyone driving or walking by has
the right to publicly view the lady's front yard, and so does Google. There
was no invasion of privacy. By allowing the child to streak around the yard,
there was no attempt by the mother or grandmother cover up his exposure.

By the way, that third thought wants me to go venture into whole new topic,
something I will be addressing in future blog post: "If you don't want your
information published, don't submit it!" Seems simple enough... right? :)
