Quartet Practice - Christmas!! (Tuesday, 12/08/09)

I was put down on the schedule to sing solo for our church's Christmas eve, candle-light service. I asked if I could have the quartet sing in my place, and was actually given the okay for us to do two songs!

So we decided to we'd better practice. One song was pretty much decided upon immediately... "Christmas With A Capital 'C'" (Legacy Five). However, we were stumped on what the other should be. Since the other one was so 'peppy', we wanted to so something with more of a traditional quartet sound that would please those who like something a bit more soothing. But, we also wanted something a bit different than just a traditional carol.

Sam suggested we sing "It's About The Cross" by Go Fish. It's a great pick! The lyrics are fantastic, and we're hoping to sing it A Capella in our own arrangement that fits us as quartet. That's what we spent most of our time working on during our practice Tuesday evening! It's definitely something we need to continue working on, but its exciting!
