Snow! (Wednesday, 12/09/09)

We woke up to beautiful snow falling outside... of course, the wind was horrible! It was so cold that it wouldn't stick to the ground, it just blew around, giving it an eerie feel when going down the road. We didn't get much snow at all! It was too cold....

The cold was also a problem for Lydia. I went out to start the car and get it warmed up, and had a hard time getting in. The doors were frozen shut. Once I finally got in, I discovered that the drivers door wouldn't latch. This is a usual occurrence when it freezes! ... and a pain as well! So Lydia drove the car with one hand on the wheel, and the other clutching the door handle so the door wouldn't swing open.

That evening, we hurried up and ate supper and got ready for church. Lydia stayed home to work on her 15 page paper that is due on Friday. It's killing her! It was the last day in the year for Master Club's at church. But it was still a busy one! Book-time, lesson-time, snack-time, and then Christmas program practice! Whew!

Before leaving, I had the quartet run over the Christmas songs for our associate pastor. Everything was okay with him! It was then off to Walmart to get milk and a couple of necessities (like Lydia's hair gel spray). Try taking two tired, but lively, young ones into a store when the weather is freezing cold! Brrrr! I was nuts!
